Six Highlanders Earn NFCA Acadmic All-American Honors.

Six softball players earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Scholar-Athlete honors for their efforts in the classroom during the 2008-09 academic year.
Corby Holmes, Amanda Jones, Caitlin Moyer, Leighann Newberry, Maegan Phillips, and Denise Van Rijst were recognized by the NFCA for earning a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average last year. These individuals were also recognized by the NFCA and NJCAA by helping the entire softball team to a top 25 finish among all junior colleges in the nation last year by posting a 3.09 team GPA. Congratulations ladies!
