After picking up their first win on Wednesday, the Gordon College Men’s Basketball team must now face # 7 Tallahassee (FL) Community College on Tuesday (November 10) at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Hall. It will be no easy task as the Eagles are led by preseason NJCAA All-Americans Bernard James and Marvell Waithe. James, a 6-foot-10 center, earned a spot on the second team while the 6-foot-9 Waithe was a third team selection.

James, a native of Savannah, Georgia, averaged 12.7 points and 8.8 rebounds as
a freshman while Waithe averaged a team high 18.9 points and pulled down 8.6
rebounds per game. In Florida Panhandle Conference play, they combined to
average 33.0 points and 18.8 rebounds.

Therefore, the Highlanders will have to find an answer quick to Tallahassee’s
inside game. Sophomores Daveion Zellner and Rufus Talmadge will be called
upon to halt the progress of the two standouts from TCC while DeAndre Cannon
is expected to be an offensive threat for GC.

Another good crowd is expected on Tuesday as Gordon College will seek its
second win in three games. Admission is $5.00 for adults while children 14 and
under are FREE!
