I'm often asked: What makes Gordon College unique? That question has many answers, but the sum total of these answers is a learning community that cares. Here, students get an excellent education and a complete college experience within a community where people look out for each other. Faculty know students by their names; students forge relationships with each other that often last a lifetime; and alumni continue to visit campus for celebrations, events and lifelong learning opportunities.
This collective activity makes Gordon College a special place. And while we have a proud history, we're also building a bright future for our College.
In 2005 Gordon College entered a new academic realm when the Board of Regents approved us to become a state college offering not just associate degrees but bachelor's degrees. Our first bachelor's degree program, early childhood education, will graduate its first class in 2009. As a state college, we expect to add other bachelor's degree programs to meet the needs of Georgia, while continuing our mission as an access institution of the University System of Georgia.
